I'm finally on twitter. Follow me~ Is it twittering or twitting? It's pretty addictive, I must say. Made 11 updates just today and that's discounting the time I was busy and out and about.
Are you still following me? I have an interview tomorrow! Whoppee! It's a good piece of news after feeling like giving away Alex. Yes, my cute little boy who's not cute at all when he refuses to eat or sleep.
Had to do two personality tests for a head hunter.
I did the MBTI test first and was surprised that I am now a ESTJ. Motherhood has changed me!
ESTJs are responsible, logical, norm-following hard workers.
Their efforts are carried out in a practical, structured manner. ESTJs
trust facts and experiences more than theories. They are decisive,
loyal, tradition observing individuals. They enjoy being the person in
charge and often make good supervisors.
Then I did a PAEI test for management style and I am an Intergrator.
The Integrator is people-oriented. True Integrators value social harmony, and thrive on peacemaking and teamwork. The Integrator's pleasantness is unmistakable. Amiable and empathetic, the Integrator is the first to cooperate in helping with tasks or problems. They prefer to work by consensus, instead of taking a strong position against others. Integrators are attracted to people-oriented occupations like Human Resources.
Sound like me? ;)
Here I am, 1+am in the morning and attempting to blog in spite of my tiredness. Running on adrenaline now...
Today is rather eventful, not because its my birthday... Talking about my birthday, it's the first time in years I spent in Singapore but I didn't celebrate it today. 2004 Scotland, 2005 ?, 2006 Bali, 2007 Melbourne (Ocean Road!!) Haven't spend it here in years that I think some friends got used to the fact and forgot my birthday! Anyway it's ok.
Alex is still not well from his cold n cough. This morning his cough worsened. The PD called me for his lab test result and he doesn't have whooping cough (TG)... but over the phone, PD could tell that Alex's cough was worse. In the end, trotted down to the PD clinic and PD diagnosed that Alex has bronchitis :(((
Seeing that Alex is sick, we don't have mood to go out for the planned couple dinner. Tonight I had to wipe him down twice coz he puked all over himself n me. Did 2 batches of laundry. Use the neubiliser on him. Fed him countless times. Haha, I think I'm a superwoman, albeit a can't lose weight one!! Where's the husband? He did help out but was exhausted and I barked my commands at him. Poor guy...
If there's anything I would wish for my birthday, I wish that Alex recovers soon.
Urgh, I am having food poisoning and I blame myself. I have a huge appetite these days and it scares me. My biggest meal of the day is during lunch and half the time I cook lunch for myself at home so portion is not a problem.
Yesterday I met a gal pal for lunch. Decided that I will treat myself to a better lunch and here's what I ate. Barnyard salad and a three amigos bake pasta at NYDC. That's not all. THEN after which an Azuiki freeze drink and some chicken poppers at TCC. I think it's the last dish that sealed the deal. I was in agony on the way home and immediately went to see the doc. Luckily Andrew was with me and I passed him Alex. Went to see the doctor and boy, was I dizzy and my blood pressure reading was 100/60, which is quite low for me. (Dunno why but I am fascinated with my bp readings) The scary thing is I can still eat after all that food and have my usual dinner. I like my food, but I think this is too much food!
Hubb said he will take care of bb at night, but in the end I am still the one taking care of bb. -_- Now the mil is here babysitting, so I can take a rest. Haizzz.
I dunno why but I woke up to a pretty sedate mood this morning. Maybe the mood is due to the reason that I had the best sleep last night in these 2 weeks. Bliss oh bliss~~~
I have been enduring and suffering from this pain in the ass (literally) ache. I actually limp when I walk and it's not an old injury that I had. Some nerves (oh the nerves it have) are rubbing against my body parts which cause the pain. It hurts a great deal that I pretty much want to cut down on going out and put myself under house arrest. T_T The yoga moves I learnt to counter the pain didn't help much. Checked with the obgyn, the only solution he offered was to give birth (huh?!) or otherwise pop some paracetamol to temporarily relieve the pain. I thought I had to continually suffer until birth time but I learnt another yoga move from the instructor yesterday. I am so thankful that the new move I learnt have really helped! I feel like a new woman! :D All pregnant woman should learn some yoga~~~ Now I am an advocate of Yoga~~~
Prince Alexander definitely weighs about 2.8kg now and this makes him slightly ahead of his peers. Our preparation for his arrival is slowly and surely getting done. 不是二二三三,而是七七八八哦! Last night we were so amused that he turned my tummy into a cone shape. Maybe he's doing some yoga moves of his own inside too. :)
My obgyn is an experienced guy, but I am thinking whether I should change to another obgyn next time. 90% of the time I visit him, he had to rush off for delivery, coz he charges cheap and sees a lot of patients. As a result, I don't have the deserved attention which I think I am entitled to from him. Just last week, I spent a total of 2 hours in his clinic, first half which is to wait to see him and 2nd half waiting for the bill. There wasn't much seats and my feet swelled like crazy. So my visit this week will be scheduled during day time and see if situation is better.
Ok, off to think of a Chinese name for Alex now. :)
I am 33 weeks now! Put on 10-11 kg so far. My feet resembles pig trotters. Had been experiencing Braxton Hicks more often. BB's butt is mostly on the top of the tummy, but since he shifts around often, I don't think he's engaged yet. Yeah... baby, come out later. Your mommy is not quite prepared yet.
Today is CNY's eve! Since 立春 is already over, confirmed I will be having a rat boy!
Last night I went out with the girls and had enjoyed myself. First with a Melben dinner and then karaoke till 1:30am! ZOMG the crabs were so good! We were too absorbed with the food and didn't really take any good picture like any foodie shoulda. Then I enjoyed myself at the karaoke too though I found that I had gotten breathless after a few lines. Am also surprised that I could stay up till the wee hours. Heh, I finally had my crab and karaoke fix. Goody-o!
Must be all the excitement clogged up my sensory... I tossed and turned till 7+ in the morning. Now I am officially a zombie. :[
Photos from Angie's FB. I swear to God that my nose is bigger. ZOMG! ;)
I have put on about 8kg so far and am still wearing some of my pre-pregnancy tees. In the photo, I am wearing a new non-maternity tee I bought from Esprit and it fits my bum! From the front, you can hardly tell that I am carrying a bum. This current season's fashion are kinder to pregnant women yo~~~ Then for bottom, I am wearing ON's roll-panel gauchos which is so comfortable!
Things are getting into full swing. We are getting our baby stuff at any opportunity we got. Still got quite a list of things to get, but as long as we finish getting the important stuff by end Feb, we are fine~~~ I also wish for bb to come out as near to full term as possible lah. However judging by the healthy growth of bb, bb alex should arrive in this world earlier. >.< Mentally, I am still not prepared. :S
Will be seeing BB again next week. Hope to be able to take a 3D photo of him. :)

2007 started with a blast for us *pun intended*, as we were in Bangkok whilst bombings occurred. We got Sonic in January, hence ever since we have been trotting around the island more conveniently. 2007 was a baby boom year for people around me and I just knew that I have another nephew who had arrived on 30th of Dec! I am more outspoken about the lack of service quality and don't hesitate anymore to point out about the offensive. I am a better cook. I became a Wiictim. I took holidays in Bangkok twice, Melbourne and then Bintan. I never did complete the Melbourne photo posts coz my PC was fried with the photos in it. Hopefully I can get it done this year. I passed my driving but is still been driven around. Quite blissful, actually. Facebook is evil, but I am slowly spending less and less time on it. Finally I am a sahw sponging off my hubb.
One of the biggest event that happened to me was of course the closure of my now former company. I am almost, almost over it now. The toll of being a make shift union representative has eaten into me more than I think or anyone would guess. I came out bitter and with a great feeling of betrayal from the fiasco. Then I became withdraw for quite some while and I do not have the same level of trust that I used to have for people. I have passed through the "forgive" stage, but I think it will take me a long, long time to forget about this fiasco. Nevertheless I am gaining the anchorage over myself.
Then I discovered that I am pregnant and our life priorities has taken a drastic reshift to this little new being who is currently merrily baking in my oven. For sure that our finance is not that easy now, but with God's grace, hubb's secured a new job with pay raise that he will be starting tomorrow. Our focus for the next few months will be preparing for the arrival of the lil' one. :)
I never thought that it is possible to take our relationship to another level, but we did and still are continuing to do so. Andrew is a wonderful husband. He has done so many things for me which brought me to shame at times. He is very self-sacrificing when it comes to me and bb. ♥
=============
Having reviewed my 2007 resolutions and only accomplished half of them somewhat... I have to start this year's by keeping them S.M.A.R.T.
Well being
- Lose weight. I have been saying this for years and I must accomplish it this year! Hope to lose at least 10kg by the year end and by eating healthily and being more active.
- Minimise sore throats and coughs, by taking good care of myself and eating well.
- Plan and stick to a beauty regimen.
- To make plans to create personal income. Making a $XK by year end.
So this is me at 24 weeks. I think I look smaller than the pic I took back at 19 weeks. Not dressing up just to take the piccie... coz I attended one of my close friend's wedding yesterday (she's finally married!). And I hate the feeling of make up on my face now.
