I have pretty much bring Alex out on my trusty kahs (legs) and taking the public transport (I seldom take cabs). Come Feb, this gonna change coz hubb has finally relented to let me use our car! He uses the park and ride scheme now, so the car is collecting dust at the public car park during the day and I bring Alex out during the day. It's just not efficient.
My driving is not that great. I stall the car on the average of 3 times each time I drive. I adjust my steering too sharply. I don't have any much experience with parking yet. Well, I only get to drive under hubb's supervision once every Sunday which means I don't get enough practice. I have been telling him I need to drive more to gain more experience and he must stop yelping at me. It doesn't do anything for my confidence. Haiz.
I don't believe I suck at driving a manual car. Like I said, it's a matter of experience. I will also ensure I won't be one of those drivers which other drivers will exclaim, "wah lau eh, you see lah, I know it! Cha bor driver!". If Yan can cook, I can drive. Ok, it doesn't sound right and I watch too much of the Asian Food channel)
In the minor scheme of things, I already know where I'll go for our first trip out! SBW mall! Daiso! *winks winks* lol!

Acts of service. That's not a surprise to me. Like today, hubb brought the baby out for walks while I had time to catch up some sleep. I feel loved. :)
View my flickr set for close up of the photos that made up the ECP collage. Wondering whether I should get a paid account for Flickr. I realised that using free account, I could only view 200 of my last uploaded pictures, and I couldn't create more than 3 sets?! Any opinion???
The main reason I had to shop today is for hubb's VD present. VD is around the corner. Though we don't need to celebrate the occasion with fancy dinner or expensive present, but it's nice to acknowledge the fact that we have each other on the day.
It's getting harder and harder to buy stuff for him, coz I think he has everything he needs. Likewise for him, he also finds it hard to buy stuff for me. I had hinted, told him, and finally threatened him that if he forgets about any important date in the ground rules I laid out before when we were dating, I will be very, very, very angry. Kekeke. :P I walked the entire man section at Isetan before deciding on something he had wanted.
Walking for an extensive period is tough. Backache beckoned and I couldn't bend over to look for stuff. After shopping for him, I also ended up with a big bag of bb stuff. I am getting the bb stuff prepared... slowly but surely. It's also the fact that my March mummies friends who are birthing tomolo giving me a knock on the head.
Then I met hubb at Plaza Singapura. We went to browse at Barang Barang for a dining table set. Having lived in this house for quite some time, we still haven't gotten a dining table set coz there wasn't anything that we fancy what we had came across. Somehow this time we decided on a set and the table will be delivered on Monday... :) but the chairs in end April. :(
So yeah, shopping is trippy but I am dead tired now.

So this is me at 24 weeks. I think I look smaller than the pic I took back at 19 weeks. Not dressing up just to take the piccie... coz I attended one of my close friend's wedding yesterday (she's finally married!). And I hate the feeling of make up on my face now.
I found myself to be excited with tonight's dinner with hubb, that it felt like we were on one of our dates! On the context to celebrate our customary wedding date (it's been 2 years!), he chose a place that I never would have guessed. It turned out that I have had the food before at the restaurant at another location, but this branch is so much better! It's well known that I like my food, but I like variety and small portions. And I like spiced food too. Hmmmm. I was so full that he can't brought me to have dessert. :X
I also bought more clothes earlier today... :X No more clothes!!! (Like real!)
I cooked hubb and myself dinner last night and it's the first time since I have been a SAHW. All went quite well though I forgot to season the patties I made. Haha. I didn't expect cooking a three dish meal would take me such a long time... nearly 3hrs. :O Consider that I could whip up a quick lunch for myself in less than half an hour.
These are simple home made dishes but nevertheless they tasted alright.
Hubb remarked that I have really become domesticated. Haha. Let's see what I have made....
- Soup: corn, onions, carrots, potato, spare ribs n chicken strips. I usually made ABC soup for my lunch and this is a slight twist to ABC soup
- Meat patties: Beef and pork. I forgot to season this but I tried deglazing and made a nice sauce for the patties, so all well is well. +1 point for me for trying deglazing and for the first time successfully!
- Stir-fried tapioca leaves: First time I cooked this vege and it turned out very well. This is hubb's favourite dish out of the three and he's not known to graze!
Tonight's menu is chicken stew. Hope this will turn out successful. I didn't had any luck with the beef stew I made some time back and which I had for 2 days coz I hate to waste food. *cross fingers*
*I must eat when I feel hungry or I turn into some grouchy food monster!
Not me. I am still holding on to the position of CEO of Household Inc and it looks like I will reign Household Inc. for a long, long time.
Darling hubb and I are very excited over the recent developments that he had confirmed a new job with a foreign bank. Not only the pay increment is quite substantial but it really is an ideal career move for him. He has been considering an alternative career and even exploring relocation. Then out of the blue, he received a call from London... Ultimately he chose Singapore, for the time being. I also feel proud of the fact that he has greatly impressed the interviewers and escalated through the series of interviews that banks are notorious for.
So we are not only thrilled about this job but we also feel relieved. With bb coming along and only hubb as the sole bread winner for the family... I know he feel stressed at times. And I have been holding my breath for the final offer of this new job. Thank God that it came through! We really thank our Jehovah Jireh for being our provider! :D
