Busted Xmas gift plan...
I have been harbouring a plan to get Hubb a nice and higher end camera for the coming Xmas which caused us to quarrel. After all he got me a phone, then a bluetooth headset and 1GB mini-SD and as you can tell, he spends a lot on me. So on the pretext of getting a camera for myself, he and I have been researching on camera. If the camera is meant for me, I want a prosumer camera, either a Ricoh GRD or Canon G7.
Hubb likes the Samsung NV7, but I found the user interface lousy. There are 8-10 buttons located around the LCD screen, that none is labelled and I absolutely find this unacceptable. The image quality is not great either from the reviews. For the same amount of money, I could get better cameras. Considering my budget, I finally decided on Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2. When I told him about my decision to get the camera, he didn't want me to splurge and fussed that I don't value his opinion... yadda yadda. I was peeved and hung up on him which made him peeved too. In the end to clear up the misunderstanding, I did tell him the purpose of getting the camera but this busted my gift plan. So now it's either re-think another gift idea or still get him a camera.
He has a O2 Atom, Mp3 player, multiple bluetooth headset, headphones and multiple storage card. Any gift ideas for a Technology freak hubby which has almost all the things he can have?
Maybe I should get him a vacuum cleaner. :D

as for your gift idea, I'm clueless too. unless you want those portable harddisk to backup all the info on the go. sticking back to the camera has its issues...
i personally like the LOOKS of the Lumix. But I've heard feedback fromex-users of Lumix switched back to Canon....
I would have suggested PS3 which i'm also eyeing, but too bad, dun think it'll be in time for the x'mas... PSP? or the new Nintendo? =p
We have a gameboy and 1stG x box (mine) which he has chucked aside... otherwise all yr suggestions will be great. Let me think more about it. :)
i like lumix, which uses leica lens. if looking for a compact camera, i prefer lumix to canon or nikon. i always feel that canon and nikon's menu control and shutter lag is poorer, though they have excellent DSLRs. but what's the point of weighing down with a DSLR if it's not for professional reason?
ah, i am hearing mix reviews abt lumix. shall research more. I like the Ricoh GRD. Check it out!
erm... massage chair. bicycle (complete with cool helmet, gadgets and more). sunglasses.
or instead of outdoing in terms of monetary, do something really touching. eg. collage of pictures together framed up.
ok. i announce myself brain dead.
It won't be easy to handcraft something for him, coz we staying together! lol.
